Strickoe’s Deli @ The Fruit and Flower Basket
A small family run deli and farm shop in Bishops Lydeard near Taunton, offering a wonderful range of homemade products and local produce.
Former chef and local lad Phil Strickland, a born and bred Bishops Lydeard boy; started The Fruit and Flower Basket over 20 years ago in a small shop in the centre of the village. After many successful years, he out grew the shop and moved to new, larger premises in 2006. The new shop is opposite the steam railway so still well within walking distance of the village, and with a large car park is accessible to all.
As a chef, Phil spends most of his day with his team in the kitchen, so his wife Ann, and daughter Emily, take responsibility for running the front of house. We have an old fashioned ethos, the customer is our top priority, so whether it is helping you choose your produce, packing your shopping, or carrying your goodies to the car, we are there for you.
