A cake as a treasure chest for money gifts
Money can be given away in many nice ways and they are all nicer than a simple envelope. I like this treasure chest very well.
It is quickly prepared without much effort and without much skill.
The following is required:
- 1 chocolate box cake
- Marzipan and food coloring or colored marzipan paste
- Chocolate money (taler and bills)
- sugar chains
- Streudeko in gold and silver
- Bacon mice (mouse bacon)
This is how it's done:
- The cake is cut horizontally in the upper third
- From the marzipan mass one forms fittings, locks and nails
- On the lower half of the cake come the mice and the sugar chains and some money
- Is sprinkled with gold and silver decoration
- Deviating from this list, everything that has to do with money and treasure can be used here. Maybe one or the other thinks more about it.
- Now, if it should be a monetary gift, bills can be placed around the cake or even be decorated with play money.
Also for a children's birthday is such a treasure chest definitely an eye-catcher on the coffee table.
Incidentally, the chocolate money is available from real and Rewe. At first, I was afraid to get them just around Christmas time.
