A life after the tealight: make oil lamp

This is a tip from my daughter:

If you use tea lights as we often do, eventually the small pods will be left. Why throw away?

From this we make an oil lamp

That is how it goes:
Two empty pods are needed for a lamp
One stays as it is - just a little oil (sunflower oil)

At the second a cut in the edge to the bottom of the sleeve and a small hole in the middle. Now you put a wick (about 1.5 cm long) for oil lamps (craft business) in there.

Turn the whole thing upside down in the first (now oil-filled sleeve).

Finished.

Wait a moment, the wick absorbs the oil, light it.

This is a new oil lamp made of material that is usually thrown away.
