Advent plait Ingredients:

  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 1/4 l sour cream
  • 450 g of flour
  • 100 g of butter
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 1 egg and 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • 50 g finely chopped almonds
  • 50 g raisins
  • 1 egg yolk and almonds to brush

preparation

Crumble the yeast and stir with the warmed cream and 2 teaspoons of flour and sugar to a pre-dough. Put the remaining flour in a bowl, put a bowl in the middle and add the batter, cover with some flour and leave to stand for about 1 hour in a warm place.

Knead the other ingredients well with the flour and the batter, knead the dough well until it is smooth and supple.

Divide the dough into three parts and form them into elongated strands, braid them into a round braid and fold them into a wreath, let them rise on a baking tray for 30 minutes, spread with whisked egg yolks and sprinkle with almonds.

Bake in preheated oven at 200 ° C (electric cooker) for 30-40 minutes.
