All-rounder fine gasoline
Ever had ugly yellow / brown edges on the sleeves of a light leather jacket? My mother had recently the problem and in a shoe store she got the tip that she should try to rub the places with a clean cloth and fine gasoline.
It worked great!
Even if a stain is on the sofa, he often goes out with fine gasoline. Also with various kitchen appliances made of plastic or metal. We had a toaster that was standing around somewhere long and there were weird stains on the outside that just did not want to go away. Fine gasoline and the thing has shone like new.
By the way, fine petrol is the same as lighter fluid. In the shop where we got it, fine gasoline was only available in bigger bottles. There we bought one and at home my father laughed and explained that he has small bottles of it in the cellar - as lighter fluid;)
My mother then also remembered that my grandmother has cleaned a lot with fine gasoline. Seems well-tried.
