Recipe: almond raisin bread

A slightly sweet bread with oatmeal and little fat - it can be buttered, but tastes good without it!

Ingredients:
600 g wheat flour (type 1050), 6 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 pe. Baking soda, 2 teaspoons of soda, 50 g of soft butter, 120 g of chopped almonds, 120 g of pungent oatmeal, 60 g of raisins, 300 ml of buttermilk, 2 eggs, some flour for the work surface, a little liquid butter.


Preparation:
Mix the flour, 5 tablespoons sugar, salt, baking soda and soda powder in a large bowl well and then knead the soft butter, then the almonds, oatmeal and raisins.

Then stir in the buttermilk mixed with the eggs and knead the mixture on the floured work surface to a smooth dough. Form this into a loaf of bread and place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper, press it down flat, cut it diagonally with a sharp knife, spread it with the liquid butter and sprinkle with 1 tbsp sugar.

Baking time: approx. 55 minutes at 175-180 ° C on the middle rail in the preheated oven. Cover if necessary, if it gets too dark. Then cool on a wire rack.
