Alternative stands for the sieve insert in the pressure cooker

The commercial three-legged stand made of bent metal was too low for me in my pressure cooker, because it did not fit enough potatoes in the pot, if I wanted to steam over it at the same time vegetables.

Cooking the potatoes extra in the pot can not be the point of the matter, I thought to myself and made a mental journey through my apartment:

The first thing that struck me was an unused metal post stand that I still prefer as a base. But since I immediately came to questions and objections to food suitability came to mind, there were other items in my kitchen cabinets, which also offered more space in the pot by more height: a tea strainer and a small colander, from which I removed the stem. I tried all three variations, I prefer the letter rack.

The tip is that increases the space on the bottom of the pot by more height, if you do not put the steamer on the supplied frame, as this is too close to the bottom of the pot in this way and the food below do not leave enough space. The potatoes that have room there are not enough for a meal.

I have already thought about forming a slightly higher frame from a metal hanger, because if I use a pressure cooker, I do not want to cook food extra because of lack of space. That might be an alternative as well.

About the question of whether the steamer insert is a little more height too close to the lid and it may pose a security problem, I have also thought:

Since I trust the safety warning system of the pressure cooker and he neither unnecessarily evaporates nor ejects water, I feel safe with this handling.

As always, everyone can decide for themselves whether the tip might be helpful or not.
