Animal-free cosmetics
Animal-free cosmetics are a bit more expensive than normal, but since they are usually made more natural and better ingredients in it, it is also better (usually).
Now everything is not always animal-free where it is claimed. I've been shopping for a long time in a very cheap store, which claims to work very close to nature and animal-free - but was not true. I have a page on the website of the Austrian Animal Protection Association (I'm not sure if I can post the link here but you can find it through a search engine) under "Info" - "Info Material" - "Animal Testing" - at the bottom of the article a brochure , in which all animal-free cosmetics producers are listed and also where to get the articles.
This list is free! I've already researched which products are cheaper and which are more expensive - who wants a tip, I like to help!
