Animate small children to tablecloth
After I was pretty annoyed that my 4-year-old did not want to help cover the table and I always just had to run (yes, there are also trays), I had an idea:
I still had such a small 3-tier trolley (cheap part) in the corner and have turned it into a "service car".
Now he and my 2-year-old come with enthusiasm and wants to pick up everything from the kitchen. Porcelain and glasses can also be transported safely.
Disadvantage:
The two already bicker, who is allowed to help and who may push the car.
I only put this tip down, because I have heard from several mothers who refuse to help 4-5 year olds in particular ... and I think that one can already expect and should be self-evident (within certain limits).
