Apple cake from the tin with chocolate sprinkles: In the last week I tried out an apple pie variant with chocolate sprinkles and this cake was very well received in our coffee round. For those who like apple pie and have the appetite for baking, here's the recipe.

For the ground

  • 125 g of butter
  • 125 g of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • ½ pck of baking soda
  • 200 g of sour cream

For covering

  • about 750-800 g apples (or more)
  • 50 g raisins
  • some rum or apple juice

For the crumble

  • 250 g flour
  • 1-2 tablespoons of cocoa
  • 150 g butter
  • 125 g of sugar

  1. I usually soak the raisins overnight in rum or apple juice. If you do not like raisins, you can of course omit them!
  2. On the baking day, the apples are first washed, possibly peeled (I did not do that), freed from the core, cut into pieces and then mixed with the soaked raisins.
  3. For the dough base, the soft butter is stirred creamy with sugar and eggs, the flour mixed with the baking powder is gradually sieved and stirred again and again well. Finally, the Schmand is stirred.
  4. Spread the dough evenly over a greased or baking paper tray and place the apple and raisin mixture on top.
  5. Finally, all the ingredients for the crumble are mixed well, from crumbles formed and distributed over the apple coating.
  6. The baking time is about 40-45 minutes at 200 ° C top / bottom heat (no convection!) In the preheated oven.
  7. After cooling, the cake can be dusted with icing sugar.

I wish you much fun baking and then a good appetite!
