ingredients
For the dough:
- 250 g flour
- 1 pck of vanillin sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 250 g of quark
- 250 g cold and chopped butter or margarine
For the filling:
- 2 kg of apples e.g. russet
- 75-100 g of sugar
- 1 pck of vanillin sugar
- 125 g of raisins (who does not like, just leave out)
preparation
- Sift the flour into a bowl and press in a depression in the middle.
- Add vanilla sugar, salt, cottage cheese, and the butter and from the middle knead everything to a smooth dough. (If it is still a bit soft, just add a little flour).
- Now he should rest in the fridge for a good 1-2 hours.
- In the meantime you can peel the apples, quarter them, core them and cut them into small pieces and let them simmer in a pot with the vanilla sugar and the sugar and let cool.
- Now the raisins are lifted under the apple mass.
- Approximately Roll out 2/3 of the dough well on a greased baking sheet lined with parchment paper, press firmly and distribute the cooled apple mass evenly.
- The remaining dough is now rolled out thinly and cut into approximately 1 cm wide strips and distributed in lattice form on de cake and spread with canned milk.
Preheat oven and bake for about 200-220 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
I usually leave the canned milk and brush the entire cake after baking and cooling with apricot jam and just brush the grid with icing sugar icing.
