Apple sauce itself make a difference
I just had a few apples over. After the whole day with apple juice cooking, apple pie and plum cake baking filled was I had no desire to do anything special with the rest of the apples, but we still have normal applesauce in the freezer.
So I put some water in a pot, add apples and cinnamon stick, until then everything is normal. Since I am on the Indian trip at the moment I have added anise and cardamom, cooked like applesauce, sugar added. Tastes quite different than normal applesauce, but suuuuuper delicious, I think at least.
