Do you still have winter apples in stock or in the fruit bowl, which no one really likes to eat anymore? Here is a tip on how to handle these delicious, fast and cheap.
ingredients
Dough:
- 250 g pot (cottage cheese 10%)
- 350 g
- 1 pck of baking soda
- 100 g icing sugar
- 1 pck of vanilla sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- a bit of salt
- 250 g of butter or margarine (I used Rama with butter flavor and rapeseed oil, you do not have to soften the butter)
Filling:
- 5-6 apples
- Sugar and cinnamon to taste
- 1/2 lemon (juice and grated peel)
For brushing & sprinkling:
- 1 egg with some milk bubbled
- 150 g pine nuts
preparation
- Cut out 2 sheets of baking paper the size of the baking sheet.
- Knead the ingredients for the dough and place in the refrigerator.
- While the dough is resting, one can turn to the apples: these are peeled, quartered and freed from the kernels. Now cut the apple quarters, plane or thinly (about 2 mm) and mix with sugar, cinnamon, lemon zest and juice.
- Now put a sheet of baking paper on a damp dishcloth (so that it does not slip) and roll out half of the dough with a flour in the size of the baking paper with a rolling pin.
- Pull the dough with the baking paper onto the baking tray and spread the apples on it.
- Also roll out the second half of the dough and place on the apple mass. Press something and remove the baking paper.
- Pierce several times with a fork, spread with the egg-milk mixture and spread the pine nuts over it.
- Bake in preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 40 minutes.
