applesauce cake
ingredients
- 1 egg
- 100 g of sugar
- 1 P. vanillin sugar
- 160 g margarine
- 260 g of flour
- 1/2 p. Baking powder
- at least 500 g applesauce
- 100 g chopped almonds
preparation
- Beat the egg frothy. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar and margarine, then add the flour and baking powder and stir briefly.
- Place 2/3 of the dough in a greased springform pan, press down on the ground and pull up a small margin. Approximately 1 cm is enough.
- Then pour out the applesauce (with or without pieces).
- Mix the remaining dough with the almonds and spread over the whole cake. I always do it with my hands. Just take small piles, flatten and distribute the pancakes on the applesauce.
- Bake at 180 - 200 degrees top / bottom heat for about 45 minutes until the desired tan is achieved.
The cake tastes best when it is still lukewarm, but it may be that it crumbles a bit when cutting.
If you like you can dust the cake with powdered sugar, drizzle with icing threads or eat whipped cream.
Have fun and good appetite!
