Apricot jam - slightly different

ingredients

  • 1 kg ripe apricots (cleaned)
  • 500 g jam sugar 2: 1
  • 2 limes or 1 lemon (peel and juice)
  • 1 bag of chopped almonds (100)
  • a handful of mint leaves

preparation

  1. Cut apricots into small pieces
  2. Add the gelling sugar and stir well
  3. Remove the limes or lemon with a zestzer or a grater and add.
  4. Add lime or lemon juice
  5. Stir for 5 minutes with stirring (depending on the packing instructions of the gelling sugar)
  6. Make a gel sample (a teaspoon of the mass on a coffee plate and wait to see if it gels.) If not, then add citric acid and boil again.
  7. Add almonds and wash the melissa leaves and cut into very fine strips and also stir.
  8. Pour the mixture into hot rinsed jam jars, cap and immediately turn upside down for 5 minutes.

After cooling, enjoy! Who likes to decorate the lid a bit (dribble a piece of cloth / napkin with raffia and label). The perfect gift!
