Asparagus gratinated

The simple things are just the best - here's an asparagus recipe that makes it really easy and very effective to impress:
ingredients
Quantities variable, here for 3 persons:
- 2 kg of asparagus, white (depending on the thickness of the bars you expect 5 - 10 per person)
- 2 Pck. (À 200 g) cooked ham (one slice of ham per 1-3 asparagus spears)
- Parmesan cheese (in a row, a lot!)
- olive oil
preparation
- Boil the asparagus with a little salt, sugar and a bit of butter.
- The cooked asparagus spears then - depending on the amount of ham - per one or two, three ... rods of asparagus wrap with the ham and put on a oven-safe plate or in a casserole dish.
- Then sprinkle each serving with a very good dash of olive oil and then add plenty of (!) Freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
- Then let the whole thing in the preheated oven and at about 220 degrees (or grill function) briefly tan slightly.
- Just a baguette bread and possibly a delicious white wine.
