Asparagus gratinated

The simple things are just the best - here's an asparagus recipe that makes it really easy and very effective to impress:

Quantities variable, here for 3 persons:

  • 2 kg of asparagus, white (depending on the thickness of the bars you expect 5 - 10 per person)
  • 2 Pck. (À 200 g) cooked ham (one slice of ham per 1-3 asparagus spears)
  • Parmesan cheese (in a row, a lot!)
  • olive oil

preparation

  1. Boil the asparagus with a little salt, sugar and a bit of butter.
  2. The cooked asparagus spears then - depending on the amount of ham - per one or two, three ... rods of asparagus wrap with the ham and put on a oven-safe plate or in a casserole dish.
  3. Then sprinkle each serving with a very good dash of olive oil and then add plenty of (!) Freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. Then let the whole thing in the preheated oven and at about 220 degrees (or grill function) briefly tan slightly.
  5. Just a baguette bread and possibly a delicious white wine.
