Avocado and tomato dip

This is probably a known dip of avocados and tomatoes. Today I modified it a bit and added a "new" spice.

ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • at least 300 g cherry or date tomatoes
  • 2 medium onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Juice of a lemon
  • Salt pepper
  • chilli flakes
  • ground cumin

preparation

  1. Peel and core avocados, cut into smaller pieces and sprinkle with lemon juice. Do not crush the avocado pieces too finely with a fork, season with salt and pepper.
  2. Quarter the tomato in length and then cut at least 3 times, halve cherry tomatoes and cut 3 more times. Add the tomato pieces to the avocado dust.
  3. Peel onions and garlic, cut into chunks, then chop finely with a knife and add to the avocados / tomatoes.
  4. Add chilli flakes for a bit of spiciness, but not too much. Add cumin to taste and stir well. Possibly. salting, very fine with coarse sea salt.
  5. I know the dip in one go crème fraîche, but my avocados today are so ripe (and fortunately still not brown) that I could save myself that.

It goes well with baguette. Good Appetite!
