Avocado varieties & how to recognize a ripe fruit

An avocado is a healthy little powerhouse, you can take it as a sandwich, as a delicious Mus spoon with chips, desserts, soups and much more.

The avocados that we can buy in the supermarket are usually not ripe. Known is the tip, easy to press at the end of the stem. If it yields, it is ripe. But there is another hint:

In ripe avocados, the core dissolves and no longer gets stuck. If you shake the avocado, you hear the core rattle and you know for sure it's ripe.

The most famous type of avocado is the Fuerte, which has a smooth grass-green shell and is pear-shaped then there is the Ettinger, as the neck is thick and the skin is smooth and rich green.

I find the most delicious is the hate, it is almost black-green when ripe, has a shell with small bumps and is relatively small and pear-shaped and then there is the Nabal, large, almost round, with a brown-green shell.

With a few avocados in the house, you always have a tasty base for a good meal!
