Avoid lime in the kettle

Better is:
Measure the required amount of water as accurately as possible (for example, pour a cup of cold water for a cup of tea) or estimate how much water will be needed.
If the estimate was too large, so there is still a lot of hot water left, pour it away as quickly as possible, so that only the residual moisture in the pot can form precipitation. Energy is saved on top of that.
