I just wanted to bake our own breakfast toast and came across a very good recipe. The bread tastes much better than bought and is also much cheaper.

ingredients

For 2 medium-sized toast breads

  • 500 g of flour (type 550)
  • 10 g soft butter (alternatively vegetable oil)
  • 10 g salt
  • 300 ml of water
  • 50 ml of milk
  • 1 bag of dry yeast or 1/2 cube fresh yeast

preparation

  1. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together and knead well, then let the dough rest for about 1 hour.
  2. Knead the dough well on a floured work surface and divide into 2 halves.
  3. Rub in 2 box molds with butter and add the doughs in each case and let rest for another hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees (convection 200 degrees) and add the two box shapes and cover with baking paper, you could also take aluminum foil to cover. Bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Remove cover and bake again for 5 minutes.

After cooling down, I sliced ​​the toast breads and frozen some of them, if we fancy toast, I take them out of the freezer and toast them. So you always have fresh toast.
