Baked garlic tomatoes
These stuffed tomatoes could be served as a side dish to a meat or fish dish. I serve it as a tasty little appetizer or as a snack.
ingredients
- 8 medium sized tomatoes
- 5 toes of garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped
- Cut 150g fresh bread crumbs from a baguette (bark and chop in the food processor or rub by hand)
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
That is how it goes
- Cut off a lid of the tomatoes - and later if necessary use for a soup.
- Hollow out the tomatoes and put the seeds in a bowl. By the way, you can use a grapefruit spoon with a sharp edge. But a knife and a spoon do it too.
- The tomato inside is now mixed with the breadcrumbs, spices, garlic and herbs and spooned back into the tomatoes.
- Some olive oil comes on every tomato. The tomatoes are now in the oven, who has a grill, uses them. Otherwise bake for about 10 minutes over high heat, so that the surface becomes crispy.
- Inside, the filling is still soft, a nice contrast to the crisp surface and a wonderful smell of garlic wafts through the kitchen.
Good Appetite!
