Balsa wood postcards ~ DIY
Balsa wood is so light that it can be conveniently sent as a postcard. It looks great, works well and can be sent by simple means as a birthday, wedding or Christmas card.
Balsa wood is available in the craft shop or on the Internet. I ordered two one-meter-long and ten-centimeter-wide pieces with a thickness of one millimeter online. If you want something more stable, you can also take two millimeters thick balsa wood. I cut six postcards from one of these pieces of wood. To do this, always mark pieces 14.7 cm long with a ruler and a pencil and cut them along the drawn line with the cutter or scissors.
Now only the creative design of the front is missing. I stuck on buttons and marked lines with a black pencil. This is how the buttons look like Christmas balls. If you make the lines like a leash on the buttons, the whole thing looks like a balloon. Instead of the buttons, you can also roll up thin strips of paper and glue them together or put them into a circle, iron them over and glue them to the card.
