Blue cheese sauce 2-in-1

Ingredients per person

  • about 75 g of blue cheese (for example St. Agur or Gorgonzola)
  • a double-cream cheese, about one-third the size of blue cheese
  • maybe some milk for smooth stirring
  • optional: 1-2 tablespoons chopped walnuts

preparation

Mix cheese with a fork and then melt on low heat (do not boil!) To a sauce. Carefully pour milk in sips if it should be too firm.

I always do it all in a stainless steel bowl standing on a pot of boiling water. Then it will not be too hot and can not burn.
Finally add the chopped walnuts.

Finished.

Fantastic on noodles (for example tagliatelle)! The sauce is very creamy and sticks well to the pasta.

Remaining sauce is spreadable in the fridge and is then delicious for dipping or on bread.
