Bolo do caco

From our holiday in Madeira I came up with the idea for an excellent appetizer: a crunchy flatbread with melted garlic butter!

Preparing the bread

We need a flat-shaped, stuffy, white bread. It has been found that the Ciabatta baking mix from the Aldi is ideally suited for this purpose. So you prepare the bread, as described on the package, but I do not make a baguette out of it, but little flat flat breads. From 500g of the baking mix I get 5 well-sized pancakes.

Preparation of the butter

Approximately 200 g of butter are warmed slightly, so that the butter is soft and kneadable with a fork. In the butters are pressed 4 garlic toes and 2 tablespoons of chives and 2 tablespoons of chopped garlic (I have in the garden: Looks like chives, but tastes a bit "leuchiger", possibly just use 4 tablespoons chives). The butter is mixed with the herbs (I make the butter so soft that you can almost stir it).

The flatbreads are sliced lengthways and covered with butter. Before eating, push the bread again for 5 minutes in the hot oven (200 ° C) and cut the patties into 6 pieces.

Tips:
The buttered bread loaf can be perfectly frozen and baked if necessary. As an appetizer usually 1/2 bread per person.
