Brandy plums 1975
This is an old house recipe for Brandy plums from 1975. Used were fresh dark autumn plums.
ingredients
750 g plums
525 g of sugar
3 cloves
1 pinch of cinnamon
and brandy (cognac) about 38 per thousand
preparation
Cut the plums in half and stone them. Place the plums and spices in a stone pot or other container.
Top up with brandy until the plums are covered. Close the pot well, keep it cool, check it regularly and stir it so that the sugar dissolves well.
Depending on temperature and patience, the waiting time is 1 to 2 months.
Secret Tip: 4? Peel the plum stones and place the seeds between the plums. Who takes no cracked seeds, can also 2? Use 3 drops of bitter almond flavor. But please be very economical!
The brandy plums are delicious as a dessert, vanilla ice cream, ... to warm up and if necessary, the liquid tastes even without fruit.
