Bring applesauce to a boil

When I read the 684th edition of "The 5 Best Tips" of the last few days, I finally got the courage to describe how my husband does not clean outside windows, but boils applesauce in. It burns on my soul for a few weeks when we did this Year had an apple glut in the garden.

Before that I would like to describe how I do that (t) e:

  1. Quarter the apples, cut out the damaged areas, bring to the boil with water and cook on a low heat. Some apple varieties cook quickly, and you can tell by the pieces breaking up.
  2. Using a wooden club, pass through a hair sieve so that only the bowls and housing remain in the sieve.
  3. The mass of muscle is then filled in thoroughly washed and then rinsed with clear hot water Einweckgläsern, closed with cooked rings and lid and provided with staples and boiled in the oven.

I have never owned a single-purpose pot, but a manual that accompanied our first oven and which describes the method in the oven.

Following is my husband:

  1. my man peels the apples and cuts the housing additionally out
  2. Like me, he cooks up the apple pieces and then purees them into applesauce
  3. Immediately after boiling, the hot mass is poured into prepared mason jars and closed with ring, lid and clamp
  4. After cooling the glasses (they have formed a vacuum inside), the glasses come into the cellar with remaining clips until they are consumed.

My husband was sure from the outset that his method works the same way as filling hot jam, resp. Jelly in twist - off glasses. I never thought of it and was very suspicious. His method has proven itself. It is from the past. as years ago, once an apple glut was mastered in this way, no glass spoiled, at most a mildew has formed in one to two glasses, which otherwise occurs.

Now a few words about how my husband prepares glasses:

Emptied glasses, which often wait for years after their washing up in the basement for their new use to wash them, my husband thinks superfluous. How are they supposed to get dirty when the lid comes on? From the outside dust does not matter.

  1. Man (n) carefully remove the lid before filling,
  2. put it on the kitchen counter,
  3. After filling and placing the ring, Man (n) carefully picks up the cover without dust particles getting between the surface of the cover and the ring
  4. Cover on the ring, provided with clip as last closure.

I struggled with my hair. I wanted to snatch the glasses from him before filling and wash them habitually. If I want, I can wipe the glasses after cooling down.

For those who do not require too much patience for the previous peeling and pitting of apples, my husband's method is certainly useful here as a tip.

The lack of preparation of the glasses by means of water and soda or Spüli, so long, yes, I do not recommend and apply it even not. My concerns that despite storage in the basement with sealed glass dust particles or any mold spores get into the glasses, I am too big.
