Bulgur patties

A quick dinner without much effort: Bulgur patties as a meatball substitute.

ingredients

  • 250 ml vegetable stock (bouillon)
  • 125 g bulgur (fine)
  • 1 onion
  • some stalks of parsley
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 small cut pepper
  • oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3-4 tablespoons flour or more
  • Nutmeg, salt and pepper

preparation

  1. The boiling vegetable broth is poured over the bulgur, stir briefly and allowed to swell for about 15 minutes.
  2. Fry the chopped onion and pepper with the garlic in the pan, allow to cool slightly and mix well with the eggs, flour, spices, the chopped parsley and the bulgur.
  3. Form small patties and fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides like meatballs.
  4. This fits very well with a light salad and steamed peppers.

The patties also taste very good cold.
