Burnt almonds - great!

Burnt almonds in a pot (600 g)

600 g whole almonds with skin (200 g approx. 1, -?) (Hazelnuts, half walnuts are also suitable)
350 g of sugar
300 ml of water
5 pck vanilla sugar
Approximately 40 minutes time

Boil almonds, sugar and water in a large saucepan over medium heat until the water evaporates. Stir very often! The mass is now dry and smells burned.


Now add vanilla sugar and stir again over medium heat until the sugar becomes liquid again and the almonds are dark brown all around. DO NOT ALLOW!

Then the almonds on a baking sheet? (best with anti-adhesive foil) loose (!) distribute and let cool. Then break up into individual nuts as possible.

Then fill the pot with hot water and rinse, let it rest and wash after 20 minutes. Better, than the fair and not so sugar-prickly! From the 600 g almonds are finally about 1000 g.
