Candied almonds, nuts - do it yourself
On the Christmas market a hit, unfortunately also very expensive, are candied almonds and nuts. I have been making these goodies myself for years, also because I have the luck of a walnut tree.
That is how it goes
- Only dust almonds, crack nuts.
- Add a lot of sugar, a little cinnamon and a little water to a mushy mixture in a bowl.
- Turn the nuts in it, all should be covered thick with sugar mass.
- Then put the bowl in the microwave to about 800 watts for about 3 minutes.
- Then put everything on a flat plate or plate and let dry well for a few days.
- How much cinnamon, sugar, water, time ... I have to try again from time to time, so better always prepare small portions in succession.
After drying, the almonds and nuts are again hard and surrounded by a thick sugar / cinnamon crust.
