Carnation leaves - pull the cloves yourself

If you buy cloves packaged (as cut flower bouquet), they often have offshoots. These branches look like little bushy branches. If you carefully break off these "branches" or cut them off carefully with a sharp knife and place them in a glass of water, the offshoots will get small roots in a few days.

The offshoots that have driven roots can then be planted in flower boxes, pots or even in a bed. Sun and a bit of good flower fertilizer and you have a few nice clove plants for a long time.

In May, I received a bouquet of carnations and raised 19 offshoots, which are already sturdy plants on my balcony and hopefully will bloom soon.

Give it a try.
