You can easily cut carrots into flowers. First peel, then halve. Then cut lengthwise narrow pieces on eight sides. And at the end cut the carrot into thicker slices (see photos).
So I got my carrot-despising son to eat carrots. In kindergarten he was the hero because all the girls were excited about the edible "flowers".
And on salad of course, the whole thing looks quite funny. Have fun with "carving".
