Catch fruit flies

Fruit flies can be quickly and cheaply get rid of with the following trap:

You take

  • 1 empty jam jar
  • 1 piece of cling film
  • 1 rubber
  • 0.05 L vinegar
  • 1 drop of detergent

That's how it's done

Pour vinegar into the glass, add washing-up liquid and mix a bit. Put the cling film over the opening and fix it with the rubber. Poke a few holes in the foil and put the glass in the kitchen to the window.

The flies are attracted to the vinegar, try to land on this and then drown, because of the flushing agent, the surface tension is missing. Within a few hours, 90% of the flies are caught. You should leave the glass for 2-3 days to catch all flies.
