Cauliflower soup

White, plump, beautiful ... is such a fresh cauliflower to look at. Preferably, he may even grow in his own garden. With a lot of vitamin C, it is also very healthy and can be prepared in many ways. Cauliflower cream soup is popular. Unfortunately, some children are not enthusiastic about it.

But? Funny? served, maybe you can make the soup tasty for some kids?

ingredients

  • 1 cauliflower cut into florets (about 20-25 redolors, to taste more or less, as soup insert aside)
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 1 L of water (beef broth or chicken broth if in stock, I'm not shy about using soup cubes)
  • 250 ml of cream
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon flour
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • salt
  • Pepper to taste (because of the children)

preparation

  1. Roast the onion in hot oil until glassy.
  2. Sprinkle with flour and roast briefly.
  3. Then add the liquid and boil briefly.
  4. Now add the cauliflower florets and let the soup, with the lid closed, simmer for about 25 minutes.
  5. The cauliflower should now be soft and is finely pureed with the hand blender.
  6. After this, add the cream, the parsley, the remaining tubers, the nutmeg and some salt and cook for about 10 minutes until the soups are crispy.
  7. Now only with salt (pepper?) To taste and serve.

I chose these funny pots with lids to serve and the kids were thrilled.
