Chapati - original Indian flatbread

The Indian flat bread tastes very good, we like to do it for example. to spicy goulash or Indian dishes.

The bread is very easy to make.

ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 teaspoons oil (rapeseed)
  • 1/2 cup of lukewarm water

preparation

  1. Mix everything well in a bowl and knead, then rest for about 15 minutes.
  2. Flourish the work surface and take a small handful of dough and form into a round ball, then flatten press and roll out (very thin).
  3. Heat a non-stick frying pan (no oil) and fry each chapati for about 1 minute from each side, maybe a little longer, stop it.
  4. After frying, brush some oil over on both sides and set aside until you are done with the others.
