Charcoal / briquettes against damp rooms and books

A week ago, many of us sat at summery temperatures at the barbecue. The last half-sack of charcoal we wanted to pick up for this week, but unfortunately the season is probably over, as wet and cold as it is now in Germany.

But for the charcoal there are other tasks: The charcoal absorbs moisture, is ideal for keeping dry moist spaces. A few coals in a tin can with some holes in the lid, put into the bathroom, attracts the moisture, like a magnet the iron. Every few days you should change the coal.

Also suitable for bookcases to protect old books from damaging moisture. Put a bowl with 3 coals to the books, exchange now and then, that makes the old Brockhaus happy!
