"Cheap beer" better than his reputation

It is a test of courage to offer its guests a so-called cheap beer. You are ashamed, and we should, too, if it goes after the manufacturers of - also called - "premium beers".

These beers, the best-known and most-drunk "Oettinger", are - if anything - shyly hidden in the cellar or storeroom, for "private use". It is not worse than others. In the case of blind tastings, most of the test persons did not "taste it out" anyway.

The question of why it costs so little and is still marketed profitably, is easy to answer: The breweries consistently refrain from any advertising and rely solely on word-of-mouth.

Of course, we secretly all know that any advertising on the price of the goods is transferred. But somehow the companies succeed in telling us that a lot of advertising has something to do with quality. Advertising is 90 percent psychology.

Of course, by showing test subjects what they are drinking, the "right" brand beer tastes better than the "no-name". It's worth it to override it. So: the next time you buy a few bottles of "cheap beer" and compare yourself.
