Children's room door to paint

Hello,
a friend called me and asked for help. The door of the nursery was totally scratched and partially painted. She wanted to clean the door and then repaint it. We decided to sand down the door and paint it with a white lacquer (matt) and then bought a large pack of board markers (washable pens to write on boards). Your children can now paint the door to their heart's content and the whole thing can be washed off at any time. The little one likes it very much and the mom too.

We also had a similar idea for the walls ... So we asked at the hardware store and got a wall paint with latex in it. Should not damage the wall and is washable. However, we have given the children chalk and not the pens, because we did not trust the whole thing completely. The wall can actually be rubbed off easily (damp cloth). This is also a funny thing for the kids and they even enjoy cleaning the walls. Maybe that would be something for the rooms of your children?
