Chocolate Chili Cookies

If you like bitter chocolate with chilli or like hot chocolate with chilli - a tasty combination, I think - (but it's also a matter of taste, and of course you can not argue about taste!), For which I would have a tip.

I figured that would have to be tried with chocolate cookies - and the result was really delicious! Here is my recipe for all who are in the mood to bake this time, I can only recommend it and it is also very easy and fast!

For about 20 pieces you need:

  • 100 g of butter
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 125 g of flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons of cocoa
  • about ½ teaspoon of finely ground chilli flakes (there are, for example, as a spice mill at the discount store).

That's how it works:

First preheat the oven to 175 to 180 degrees.

Beat the soft butter with the sugar until foamy, then mix the flour with baking powder, cocoa powder and chili flakes and gradually stir into the foam until a smooth dough has formed. It is then used to form little balls with moistened hands. These are placed on a tray lined with baking paper (please do not put too tight!) And pressed a little flat (possibly with a moistened fork back, which gives a nice pattern).

Now bake it in the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes. Then remove and allow to cool for at least five minutes (better a little longer) on the plate, because they are still quite fragile, then let cool completely on a wire rack. If you want you can dust it with icing sugar.
