Dark chocolate couverture, nuts and dried fruits - a delicious treat! When preparing the chocolate cube confection you should be careful with the wafers.
I discovered the recipe on the packaging of the baking wafers. They are large pieces of 12 x 20 cm, which can also be placed on cake bottoms. The lapse of the chocolate mass on the wafer is a bit cumbersome. But you save the baking.
ingredients
- 7 slices of baking wafers
- 150 g bittersweet chocolate (or whole milk)
- 1 egg
- 50 g of grated nuts
- 100 g small chopped dried fruits
- 1 sharp knife with a smooth blade
- Weights or a heavy book
- aluminum foil
preparation
- Slowly melt the couverture in a water bath. You can melt them even at low temperature in the pot on the hotplate directly.
- Then add nuts and dried fruit and stir well.
- Beat the egg, stir and add to the mass. Mix well.
- Remove the pan from the stove. Using a baking spatula, pick up the warm chocolate paste and spread it on the first slice of wafer.
- Put on the second disc and press on. Keep doing this until the chocolate mass is used up.
- Place a piece of aluminum foil on the wafer block and place weights on it or one (or more) heavy book.
- Allow to cool and place in the refrigerator without weights.
- When the wafers block is really hard, carefully scrape off the edges with the knife if they are not completely filled. Then cut strips first and cut them into cubes.
- In the cellophane bag the sweets are a great gift!
