Christmas bird food
Every year in winter, my little sister and I, unsalted popcorn on a thick yarn, have threaded it with a thick blunt needle.
This popcorn garland was then hung on a tree in the garden and served over the winter not only as a decoration and food source for little birds, but most of all to give mum a little pre-Christmas rest.
Anyway ... we enjoyed it, and tasted the birds. (the popcorn should be prepared fat-free)
