Christmas decoration: mini-pine wreath

For these mini pine wreaths, I have taken the thin pliable branches of a yew. The look with the little bright green buds at this time of year particularly beautiful.

However, other branches of different conifers can also be used. Ivy is also doing well. When the appropriate branches are collected, longer, flexible branches are cut off. Do not cut too short, because the branches should be wrapped around a thin wire. The wreaths have a diameter of about eight centimeters. This roughly corresponds to the diameter of a coffee mug.

Wrap wire around a coffee mug

Some copper wire is simply wrapped around a coffee cup and you have a nice round shape to attach the fir branches. The branches of the yew can easily be wrapped around the wire. In order not to see the copper, two layers of the branches are wound around the round-shaped wire. If the branches are not as flexible and loose, they can be fixed with some wire or hot glue. The small wreaths can be hung on a bush, used as a table decoration or used as a decoration for gift wrapping.

That we needed
