Clean and maintain sandwich toaster
Who does not have one? These practical folding sandwich toasters, which can conjure up versatile, hot snacks within minutes ...
However, the cleaning is a bit trickier: melted cheese and greasy dirt sit not only on the Teflon-coated toast plates, but also in cracks and corners, e.g. from the folding mechanism.
Remedy:
1.) Before the very first use rub the Teflon plates with a household cloth with some cooking oil.
2.) Never scratch the Teflon plates with a knife or other metal object.
3.) To remove a stuck toast is suitable, for. a wooden stick from the Chinese ;-)
4.) Even liquid cheese can be removed from the hot plates with a wooden stick or a kitchen towel.
5.) To clean older encrustations simply scrape them off with a wooden stick and finish with a dishwashing brush.
6.) Hard-to-reach areas can be excellently cleaned with an old toothbrush.
7.) After cleaning rub the Teflon plates again with a household cloth with some edible oil.
8.) It is best to clean the outside of the appliance with a glass cleaner, which helps to protect against grease contamination.
Of course you do not have to do this program after every sandwich party, but eventually it will be necessary and then it looks like new again ;-)
