Clean, care for and store the paintbrush

Anyone who likes to paint with Wasserfraben, acrylic or similar, has countless brushes at home. Especially the expensive brush should be maintained regularly.

Many brushes suffer from continuous stress after some time and the hair or bristles become hard and hurt, break off etc.
So I have some tips for you.

- Do not leave the brush in the water container

The hair becomes elastic when wet and turns around. Better to lay on a cloth or horizontally on the mug. Bristle bits are not that sensitive.

- Clean brush immediately
After use, rinse thoroughly with a brush and dry with a Zewa or towel. This prevents the paint from drying out and the bristles will not spill on the next use.

- Hair wash
Just as I call it above, treat your brushes no matter how big a hair wash with care shampoo. Commercially available shampoo reaches there completely. The advantage is that paint residues that you did not get away, go down while rinsing and get the hair again "bounce".
It takes the brush briefly with the tip to bathe in it, let it work in and rinse it clear.

Dry with a cloth and let dry with the tip up or lying in the air.

I use myself for my unthreatening brushes of various kinds, a large, redecorated box where there was a snap-in bottle with metal lid. So that can take along great and hochkannt keep in it. But also in the artist needs so stuff rolls where you can plug in the brush and can transport there in there.
