Clean foam earplugs and reuse

I am a person who can concentrate and learn well with earplugs. Therefore, I use it on every occasion or if I have to learn under pressure of time elsewhere / on the road. Unfortunately, the ears now produce a substance called cerumen - widely known as "earwax". This has such a brownish color and then forms on the earplugs, which are usually made of foam, so brown edges and spots.

Not only does this look unattractive, it also adds that when you put the earplugs in your ear, you first have to make the things a little oblong to get into the ear canal, so that they can expand again there. Ie. one distributes the adherent ear substance still on the stopper, which ends then finally in a visually somewhat dirty-looking tip of the Ohrstöpsels. I then tried once in a small laundry bag my earplugs as usual wash in the 40 ° wash - and lo and behold: like new and fully functional. Although the cerumen of the ear has some substances that are supposed to prevent the growth of bacteria: occasionally a wash makes sense.
