Clever work organization in the job

Many people make a mistake in the job of accepting work that colleagues or the boss give them, even though they know that they are currently working at full capacity.

So if your colleague XY asks you to do this or that, you should think carefully about what you are saying. If you have enough air, then say (your colleague is not stupid and quickly notices, if you reject everything). But if this is not the case, and you are still up to your ears in your own work, then you should politely decline this "extra work" and tell your colleague, "I still have this and that to do, unfortunately I can not do". There is nothing worse than always saying YES and AMEN to everything.

The reasons are relatively simple:

If you can not make it afterwards, even though you have agreed, your colleague and maybe even the boss will probably be upset because they have relied on you.

But if you have canceled, and then unexpectedly find time, you can still go to your colleague and ask him if you could take the work off him, fortunately because you were able to finish your other work sooner.

In the long and medium term this saves time, nerves and annoyance.
