Close the steam hole in the pot lid
I have a couple of pots and pans with glass lid, which have a small Abdampfloch in the lid.
But I prefer vapors (including potatoes, vegetables ...), this hole is superfluous, as too much water vapor would escape from the pot.
Even when cooking rice with the 1: 2 method, too much water vapor is lost from the pot. For a while I was angry about it, but then my husband happened to put a small nail next to the stove.
I decided to put this nail in the hole and lo and behold, now it worked with the steaming.
My husband was still looking for his nail for a while, while I was with the dog Gassi in the meantime ;-)
