Connect the lamp with the aid of a luster terminal

As a rule, the lamp connection is made to the cables projecting from the wall or ceiling with the aid of luster terminals. If no luster terminals are mounted on the lamp, this should be done before the actual installation. To do this, loosen the screws of the clamp until the line fits in without effort. Make sure that you do not turn the screws out too far, otherwise they may fall out.

Now the lamp line is pushed into the hole in the metallic center piece of the terminal until only the insulation protrudes. Now the screw is tightened over the cable ends on the clamp.

Be sure to look carefully at the pipes that protrude from the wall or ceiling. First, you should make sure that no voltage is applied to the lines! As a rule, the usual colors are found in newer installations: Protective conductor: green-yellow (red in old buildings), neutral conductor: light blue (gray in old buildings) Phase: brown or black (black in old buildings).

The connection cables in the corresponding colors should also be present on the lamps. First you put the green-yellow protective conductor in the connection point of the luster terminal, which is opposite the green-yellow cable connection - so the cables must be connected to each other. In the same way, the blue and black or brown wire from the wall or ceiling is connected to the same colored wires of the lamp.
