Continue to use sponges longer
In order to be able to use sponges longer, I do the following: this is not the brat tip, but I did it for the first time today: I use a sponge to rinse (Spontex, Scotch brite, no-name products) ,
I was often annoyed that after cleaning a greasy pan, etc., the whole siff hung in the rough side and I often had to dispose of a sponge 3 to 4 times a week, because there was fat or some chunks of protein in it.
Today, for the first time, I just cut off the rough side, where everything is stuck, which I do not want to see, simply with scissors.
Although I do not have a rough side anymore, which I do not need very often, I can at least wash off my coffee cups and small items.
Maybe not a super tip but I pat myself on the back, because that's not what I've come for all these years :)
