Cooking potatoes in a pressure cooker

For some time, recipes have been published that can be prepared in a pressure cooker. I would like to share a tip on how potatoes for Swabian potato salad are perfectly cooked in a pressure cooker.

If I prepare potatoes in the SKT for salad, I cook the potato already 2-4 hours before, before I started after a sufficient cooling time with the preparation. Now cool the potatoes slowly in a closed pot.


Do not evaporate the potatoes, leave the pot and open after 2-4 hours. Now the potatoes have become pretty bacon, there is "Rädle" and no muck.

The potatoes are still lukewarm and perfect. This even works with floury potatoes. Also good for preparing potatoes for fried potatoes.

One more comment:

I also like every other potato salad, with mayonnaise, cold, with vegetables, but the Swabian potato salad should be lukewarm.
