Corneal inflammation through contact lenses

If it is uncomfortable to wear contact lenses or if you feel their presence and then redness of the eyes, as well as burning and tears come along, it can already be a corneal inflammation - immediately to the ophthalmologist! Corneal inflammation can lead to blindness!

Generally applies: Even with minor complaints to dispense with the Kontaklinsen and prefer to wear the glasses. Visiting the doctor really can not hurt, even if you often spend time with older people in the waiting room at the ophthalmologist.

I had a mild corneal inflammation for about 6 weeks this year, caused by contact lenses. My eye was a little dry (too little tears), so the eyes were exposed and bacteria could attack my cornea.

By the way: corneal inflammation is persistent! One should really do without a longer period of time on the lenses, as these usually do not synonymous with the medication tolerated and also need the eyes then recovery!

So if you want to keep your eyesight longer, you should be careful and vigilant!
